Futurion LLC, doing business as Alova
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Futurion LLC, doing business as Alova ("Alova," "we," "us"), for the Alova iOS app, the alova.dev website, and related services (the "Service"). You accept these Terms by taking the explicit acceptance action presented with them in the app. Creating an account, merely visiting a legal page, or closing a document is not a substitute for that acceptance. If you do not agree, do not use features requiring acceptance; our public policies and contact routes remain available.
Section 17 provides for individual arbitration of most disputes and a class-action waiver, with exceptions. You may opt out within 30 days as explained there.
Contact: support@alova.dev. Futurion LLC, 522 W Riverside Ave, Ste N, Spokane, WA 99201, United States.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Alova is offered only in the United States. It is not available to minors, including with a parent's permission. Do not misrepresent your age or identity or bypass an eligibility restriction. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address credible underage information or another eligibility issue.
Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors. Alova's adult-only rule is separate from the age rating displayed by an app store.
Every companion is an AI character, not a human chat partner. A companion's appearance, personal history, emotions, relationship language, and activities are fictional or simulated. An expression of affection does not establish a relationship with a real person. Some opening messages and system or safety responses use prepared text. Support staff do not secretly take over companion conversations as a human partner.
Alova is not a real-person dating or matching service. Virtual gifts, pets, dates, and other experiences offered inside the app are digital features, not physical goods, real-world services, or arrangements to meet a person. Only features actually offered in the app are included; a possible future feature is not part of a current purchase.
AI replies can be inaccurate, inappropriate, inconsistent, or incomplete. Memory is not a guaranteed or permanent record. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other important decisions.
Alova is not medical care, counseling, therapy, a crisis service, or an emergency-response service. Conversations are not continuously monitored by a person. Alova cannot locate you, contact emergency services for you, or guarantee intervention. Automated systems may present resources, but you should seek help directly rather than wait for an app response.
In the United States, call or text 988 for crisis support. If there is immediate danger, call 911. See our Safety Protocol for the system's safeguards and limitations.
Keep your sign-in information secure and notify support@alova.dev of suspected unauthorized access. Do not sell, transfer, or share an account. You are responsible for your own use and reasonable protection of the account; this does not excuse Alova's own security obligations.
Conversation storage, third-party AI processing, and health-related processing are explained in the Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Accepting these Terms does not replace a required separate permission. A feature requiring permission is unavailable without it. You may manage permissions and initiate account deletion in Profile → Account → Privacy.
Account deletion and consent withdrawal do not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage cancellation separately as described in Section 7. You do not have to wait until a paid period ends to request deletion. Deletion follows the process and limited legal exceptions in the privacy policies; it is not a promise of instantaneous erasure from every backup and processor.
Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable Usage Rules, we grant you a personal, limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control. The license also accommodates use through Family Sharing, volume purchasing, or Legacy Contacts to the extent required by Apple's applicable rules. It does not grant access to another person's private Alova account contrary to applicable authorization and privacy requirements.
Alova and its licensors retain rights in the software, character designs, original character materials, prompts, branding, and other Service content, except for your rights described below. You may not reproduce, resell, scrape, reverse-engineer, interfere with, or use the Service to build a competing service, except where the law or applicable open-source license permits the activity. No restriction prohibits activity that cannot lawfully be restricted.
You keep whatever rights you have in the content you submit. You give Alova and providers acting for us a limited license to store, transmit, analyze, and process it only as necessary for the permitted Service, support, security, moderation, and lawful compliance purposes described in our privacy policies and your applicable permissions. This is not an unrestricted advertising or model-training license. It does not override withdrawal or deletion rights.
We do not publish private conversations as a public feed. Limited authorized access and provider disclosures are explained in the privacy policies. Do not submit content that you lack the right to provide.
AI output may not be unique and may resemble output provided to others. To the extent Alova has transferable rights in a reply generated for you, you may use it for personal, noncommercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the rights of others. We do not promise that AI output is accurate, original, copyrightable, or suitable for publication. Do not falsely present it as a communication from a real person.
We may use product ideas or feedback you voluntarily send us to improve the Service without owing compensation. This permission does not give us unrestricted rights to your private conversations or health information.
Alova is a non-explicit companion service. You may not use it to break the law; threaten, defraud, exploit, or unlawfully harass another person; request or create sexual content involving minors or nonconsensual sexual content; seek explicit sexual generation contrary to the service's content rules; encourage or obtain instructions for suicide, self-harm, eating-disorder harm, or serious violence; or bypass safety, age, privacy, or payment controls.
Do not introduce malware, extract secrets, probe systems without authorization, automate account creation or access, scrape the Service, collect material for unauthorized model training, or overload its infrastructure. Reporting an issue through a lawful channel, an authorized security program, or applicable legal protection is not prohibited.
Talking about your own distress, asking for support, or reporting harmful content is not itself a violation. A safety response should not be interpreted as a diagnosis or an accusation of wrongdoing.
Use the conversation's Report control or support@alova.dev to report a problem. Do not include more private information than is needed. Nothing in these Terms restricts an honest consumer review, a lawful disclosure to a regulator, or the exercise of a nonwaivable right.
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple. Before purchase, the app and Apple purchase flow disclose the current price, billing period, included features, and any introductory terms. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The purchase terms shown before confirmation apply to that transaction.
The subscription renews automatically at the applicable disclosed price unless you cancel through Apple. Renewal billing may occur within 24 hours before a period ends; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Manage the subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Alova, or follow Apple's cancellation instructions (support.apple.com/en-us/118428).
An eligible annual introductory offer may provide a lower first-year price, followed by renewal at the standard annual price disclosed before purchase. Eligibility is determined through the applicable store process. An introductory price is not a promise that it applies to every account or renewal.
Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues through the paid period, unless a refund or other lawful change to entitlement applies. Deleting the app, deleting your Alova account, or withdrawing a chat permission does not cancel the subscription.
Apple handles App Store refund requests. Request a refund through Apple's refund service (reportaproblem.apple.com). Alova cannot promise Apple will approve it. Contact us for a missing entitlement, duplicate charge concern, or another purchase problem; Apple's process does not remove any nonwaivable remedy you have against Alova.
For future periods we may change features or prices, subject to applicable notice, consent, and consumer-protection requirements. Apple provides required notices or requests for consent for subscription price increases handled through its system. We do not use a future change to silently remove a purchase entitlement already promised for a paid period where the law does not permit it.
When Premium ends: your claimed Free companion spots remain; relationships and conversations outside those spots are preserved rather than deleted solely because Premium ended, but messaging those companions requires Premium again. Free-plan limits then apply. Sparks already credited remain governed by Section 8. Necessary security and abuse-prevention limits may apply to any plan; we do not promise literally unlimited use.
Sparks are account-bound virtual credits for eligible in-app features. They are not cash, an investment, or a transferable payment instrument. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between users, or used outside Alova, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. You retain all consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Purchased Sparks do not expire while your account is open. A bonus attached to a paid Sparks purchase is not treated as an expiring promotional grant merely because it is called a bonus.
Subscription-granted Sparks also do not expire while your account is open, including after Premium ends. Premium's allowance and accumulation cap are disclosed in the app. The cap limits the next grant; it does not confiscate an existing credited balance. New grants stop when the applicable entitlement no longer permits them.
Promotional Sparks provided independently for free may expire only if that expiration is clearly disclosed when offered and when credited. If no expiration is disclosed, they do not expire while your account is open. Promotional, subscription-granted, and purchased value are not interchangeable for the purpose of applying expiration.
An advertised first-purchase bonus is awarded once per account, ever. A refund of the qualifying purchase does not restore eligibility for another first-purchase bonus on a later purchase.
Refund adjustments. If Apple refunds a Sparks purchase, Alova reverses the corresponding grant, including an applicable purchase bonus. If value has already been spent, the wallet may show a negative refund adjustment that future Sparks offset first. This does not create a cash debt owed to Alova, but spending may be unavailable until the balance permits it. A refund does not authorize punishment in a companion's emotional treatment of you.
The app shows the Sparks cost and material terms of a virtual action before you confirm it. A gift or virtual date does not guarantee a particular AI response, relationship outcome, or future message. Declining a purchase does not make you owe anything to a companion. Statutory remedies for a defective or undelivered digital purchase remain available.
Remove, Start fresh, and Restore. Removing a conversation may retain an archive. Starting fresh is a separate, free option for a companion you are entitled to access. Paid relationship-history Restore recovers only the data actually available in a valid archive and described by the offer. It does not buy forgiveness or recover legally erased data. Resetting a relationship can change which relationship-specific virtual state remains available; the relevant confirmation must explain any material loss before you confirm.
Restore Purchases is different. It checks restorable Apple purchase entitlements. It does not re-credit consumed Sparks or automatically restore an archived relationship. Sign into the correct Alova account and Apple Account; contact support rather than repurchasing an item solely because synchronization failed.
We may change future pack prices or virtual-feature prices, but do not remove credited Sparks except for a corresponding refund, fraud, chargeback, documented error correction, or proportionate enforcement permitted by these Terms and law. Voluntary account deletion ends access to the wallet and remaining Sparks, subject to mandatory legal remedies. If Alova discontinues service or closes an account without user cause, we provide appropriate notice and the opportunity or remedy required by law for unused paid value; this paragraph is not a blanket forfeiture of paid rights.
Automated systems can make mistakes. We may warn, limit, suspend, or close access when reasonably necessary to address underage use, prohibited activity, fraud, security threats, or a material violation of these Terms. A disclosure of personal distress alone is not grounds for punitive closure.
Where lawful and safe, we explain the reason and allow review. Request human review at support@alova.dev, identifying the account and explaining the issue. We aim to reply within seven business days. That support target does not extend a legally shorter deadline or replace the privacy appeal procedure. Human review is not a real-time emergency service.
The Privacy Policy and separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain information handling. The more specific consumer-health protections apply to that data. Nothing in these Terms reduces rights under those policies or authorizes processing beyond required consent and applicable law.
This agreement is between you and Futurion LLC, not Apple. Futurion LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content and for providing maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Alova.
If the app does not conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Futurion LLC is responsible for the other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to that warranty failure.
Futurion LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer-protection, and privacy claims. For a third-party intellectual-property claim relating to the app or its possession or use, Futurion LLC, not Apple, is responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of the claim.
You represent that you are not in a region subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting region, and are not on a U.S. prohibited or restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple-specific app-license terms and may enforce them against you. Nothing in this section reduces a nonwaivable consumer right.

For a material change to these Terms, we provide appropriate advance notice and request your explicit acceptance before the new terms apply to you. Until that acceptance, the terms you previously accepted govern your existing agreement. A changed price, purpose of data processing, or arbitration agreement is not accepted merely because a page was updated.
We may make operational changes needed immediately for law, security, or an emergency. That does not let us retroactively change an arbitration agreement, erase accrued claims, or bypass required consent. If you do not accept new Terms, you may stop using the affected service, manage your subscription through Apple, and request deletion. We preserve applicable purchase and consumer remedies.
You may stop using the Service, cancel the subscription through Apple, and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access for the proportionate reasons described in Section 9 or discontinue the Service subject to applicable law and paid-value protections.
Provisions that must continue by their nature survive termination, including intellectual-property protections, lawful refund accounting, dispute resolution, and the protections and limitations in Sections 14–20. Data processing survives only to the extent allowed by applicable permissions, privacy policies, and law; this clause is not an indefinite license to retain your conversations.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
These disclaimers do not override express obligations we undertake in these Terms or our privacy policies, excuse a breach of mandatory safety or privacy law, or exclude any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some state laws limit these disclaimers.
SUBJECT TO THE EXCLUDED CLAIMS BELOW AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY IS LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. SUBJECT TO THE SAME EXCEPTIONS, ALOVA'S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $500 OR WHAT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
"Excluded Claims" means liability that cannot legally be limited and claims arising from Alova's fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, breach of privacy or data-security obligations, or death or personal injury Alova causes. Both the damages exclusion and the monetary cap are subject to these exceptions. Nothing here limits nonwaivable statutory damages, public remedies, or consumer rights.
To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful commercial misuse of the Service, infringement of another person's rights, or intentional breach of Section 6. You do not cover claims caused by Alova's negligence, misconduct, product defects, or breach of law. This is not a requirement to pay Alova for making a lawful complaint or exercising a consumer right.
Before arbitration or a lawsuit, other than a qualifying small-claims case or an excluded matter in Section 17.4, either party should send the other a written Notice of Dispute and allow 30 days for good-faith resolution. Send yours by email to legal@alova.dev or by mail to Futurion LLC at the address above; you do not have to do both. Include your name, account email if applicable, a description of the dispute, and the relief requested. We send notice to your account email or another address you designate. Filing deadlines are paused during that 30-day period to the extent legally permitted. This procedure cannot be used to prevent a timely protective filing or urgent lawful relief.
Except for Section 17.4 and a valid opt-out, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service are resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules (adr.org/industries/consumer). The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Applicable AAA consumer due-process protections apply. Hearings may be by documents, phone, video, or in person in the county where you live, subject to those rules. The arbitrator can award relief available for an individual claim and provide a written, reasoned decision if requested.
If AAA will not administer a dispute and the parties cannot agree to an appropriate alternative administrator, either party may bring the dispute in a court permitted by Section 18. Alova may not defeat your claim by refusing required business fees or by insisting on a term that the applicable AAA consumer rules do not permit.
You do not pay more than the consumer filing fee allowed by the applicable AAA Consumer Rules. Alova pays the other AAA and arbitrator fees allocated to a business. Applicable hardship and fee-waiver protections remain available. Each party pays its own lawyers unless law or a lawful award provides otherwise; this does not waive statutory fee-shifting rights.
Either party may bring a qualifying individual small-claims case. Either party may seek urgent court relief for unauthorized access, security harm, or intellectual-property infringement. Government agencies retain their powers, and either party may report a concern to them. Claims that federal or state law does not allow to be compelled into arbitration remain outside it.
Nothing here waives public injunctive relief where available, including under California law. A request for such relief may be brought in a court with authority to grant it. This exception is not a waiver of private remedies or another nonwaivable right.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVERED DISPUTES ARE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, NOT THROUGH CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDINGS. ARBITRATION DOES NOT USE A JURY. The waiver does not restrict the exceptions in Section 17.4. If it cannot lawfully apply to a particular claim or remedy, that matter may proceed in court and any lawfully separable covered matters remain in arbitration. A court with jurisdiction decides whether the agreement was formed and whether this waiver is enforceable.
You may opt out of Section 17 within 30 days after first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@alova.dev with "arbitration opt-out," your name, and the email associated with your account, if any. We may reasonably verify identity; loss of access to the original email is not by itself a bar to a timely request. We do not require postal mail or a reason for opting out.
An existing valid opt-out remains effective. If you accepted an earlier version without opting out, you have 30 days after explicitly accepting a version that materially changes Section 17 to opt out of that change; the previously applicable agreement then remains in place unless law requires otherwise. Changes are not applied retroactively to an already asserted dispute.
Opting out does not affect your account, price, or access. If no arbitration agreement applies, Section 18 governs the forum, subject to mandatory law.
Washington law governs, without its conflict-of-law rules, and the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 17. A dispute not resolved in arbitration or small claims may be heard in the state or federal courts in Spokane County, Washington, except where applicable consumer law requires or gives you a nonwaivable right to a different forum. You retain the nonwaivable consumer-protection laws of your home state. These Terms do not shorten a legally applicable limitation period.
California residents may contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center (dca.ca.gov/about_us/contactus.html), at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or call (800) 952-5210 for consumer assistance and complaint-routing information. The Department may refer a matter outside its jurisdiction to another appropriate route. This is a government contact, not Alova customer support.
These Terms and the applicable purchase terms govern your use of the Service; our privacy policies govern information handling and required separate permissions remain separate. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to the extent lawful, subject to Section 17.5. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer the agreement without consent; Alova may transfer it as part of a lawful business transaction without removing the protections that continue to apply.
Neither party is responsible for a delay caused by events beyond reasonable control to the extent the law permits that limitation. This does not excuse mandatory privacy, security, refund, or other obligations that still apply.
